It might still be February, but we can make it feel like summer with this new exciting song from Shields. Mezzanine could be a summer soundtrack with it’s fun music and exciting lyrics.

There is one thing, however, that just can not be left unsaid.

I have included the music video for the song which is about a couple who meet through a series of dinner dates, movies and then relaxing in the sun. You also get a quick glimpse of some intimacy too, but on the whole, it’s fairly straight forward with clips of the band performing live in between – just like stereotypical pop video.

You’re probably thinking why it deserves a specific mention, and well, the video consists only of sock puppets.

Colourful sock puppets are the soul characters of the song and where in real life issues like cheating and murders are fairly traumatic, the video makes it rather humorous.
